- Screwdrivers, flat and Phillips, or a multi-bit driver
- Adjustable wrench and slip-joint pliers
- Tape measure and a small level
- Utility knife
- Plunger and a toilet auger
- Putty knife and caulk gun
- Cordless drill
- Safety glasses and work gloves
- Flashlight or headlamp
Borrow first
Many libraries and community groups lend tools. Borrow rarely used tools before buying.
