Nail holes and small dents are an easy repair.
Steps
- Small holes: fill with spackle, let dry and sand lightly
- Holes up to a few inches: use a self-adhesive mesh patch
- Apply thin coats of joint compound, feathering the edges
- Sand between coats, wearing a dust mask
- Prime, then paint
